The KTM 1190 RC8 R. And no, you shouldn't take it off roading.

More commonly known for their other motorcycle, the Duke, Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is now getting ready to tackle the superbike arena with the KTM 1190 RC8 R (now try saying that 5 times fast).

With its 1195 cc engine, KTM homes the 1190 RC8 R will go heads up with the Aprilia RSV4 Factory and the BMW S 1000 RR.

Conclusion: Let me begin by congratulating KTM for producing what looks to be a very competitive package from day 1. This is no small feat in this flagship segment. The RC8 1190 is a true dream bike that can be studied for hours standing parked on the drive. At the same time it’s very composed and easy to ride despite the big horsepower and low weight. I could easily live with some vibrations to the foot pegs and a solid gear box since the rest is so good. KTM has passed the big test with A+.

The Wally 55 Wally-power.

You’ve seen the hardtop in the movie, The Island.  Now experience the same futuristic bad boy with its boobies out (topless) with the Wally 55. 

57 feet and oozing with sex (hence the ability to have sex on the boat once you get one) this boat will definitely make you feel like you can score with someone like Scarlett Johannson (before she was famous).

“If you look at the topsides,” says Luca Bassani, Wally’s president, CEO, and founder, “[the 55] has similar cockpit space to an 80-footer.”  

The cockpit area comprises four distinct sections: the helm, a bow for sunbathing, a U-shaped seating area located midship, and a swim platform aft. The interior of the boat can be configured with either two or three staterooms, while power choices run the gamut from four 435 hp Volvo Penta D6 engines to twin 1360 hp MANs. “This last option is for those who love power,” says Bassani. “It can propel the boat to 55 knots and cruise at 50.” The price of the 55 Wallypower ranges from $2.4 million to $2.7 million, depending on engine choice. 

Let me just make a quick “withdrawal” (a.k.a. burglary) to get myself one.  Hopefully they take cash.

Audi R8 GT. Zoom.

Looks like Tony Stark doesn’t have that much clout.  If he did, he would have used the Audi R8 GT instead of the convertible R8 for his latest movie.

220 lbs. lighter and 20 hp (up to 560) faster, this Audi R8 may make Tony think twice about using his Iron Man suit to get to where he wants to go.

Nevertheless, at $256,000 and a limited build of 333 pieces, you may actually have to be Tony Stark to buy this car in the first place.

Beautiful. Except for the rims.

What’s the craziest thing you can do with a Dodge Viper?  That would be making it into a motorcycle.

What’s the second craziest thing?  Make a supercar that is undeniably American with a European sense of style, like the Devon GTX from Devon Motorworks.

So futuristic.

Noted Swedish designer Daniel Paulin has created a design masterpiece for Devon Motorworks. With a subtle blend of muscle and curves, the design navigates between the past and science fiction. Paulin’s new design language gives the Devon GTX a classical yet futuristic line with exquisite shapes, making it a beautifully designed Supercar in the modern mold.

This is the result of an F430, a Viper and a Lamborghini having a baby.

There aren’t going to be too many of these cars produced (36 to be precise) and they aren’t going to be cheap either ($500,000) so if you are going to want one, you better hurry and you better be rich.

Have you ever watched the movie Spaceballs?  It’s an old comedy flick that spoofs the Star Wars movies.  In it, they had a scene where their ships went faster than “warp” or “light” speed – they went to “ludicrous” speed.

As funny as it sounds, the boys at Hennessey may have taken this thing seriously with the HPE700 LS9.

In essence, they threw a 6.2 liter supercharged LS9 Engine from a Corvette ZR-1 into a 2010 Camaro and made it produce 725 HP and 741 lb-ft of torque.

The result - some numbers you can tell your gearhead friends:

• 0-60 in 3.5 seconds
• Top speed of over 200 mph

Oh yeah and did I mention they were going to create a turbocharged version of the car?

I tell you, the folks from Hennessey are just taking it to another level.  We might have to add “Ludicrous Speed” at the end of all the speedometers that come out of their shop.

Mercedes-Benz has heard your plight and teamed with Eurocopter to produce the ‘Maybach for the skies’, the EC145 “Style” Luxury Helicopter.  No longer will you be forced to endure the waiting-room decor most manufacturers utilize for their interiors, and you can in fact customize the colors and materials to your liking (or to match that “Purple Rain” thing you’ve got going on in the stateroom).

Ladies, your style will no longer be "cramped"

Mercedes raided the parts bin and used the ambient lighting from the S-Class as well as the multi-configuration seating from the R-Class, meaning that the seats are mounted on rails and can be easily moved around to accommodate up to eight people (or four fat chicks if you’re having a really bad night- hey, they’re people too).

Welcome to the future. When you step out, everything will look old and busted. Sorry 'bout that.

I’m not  sure about the specs on the copter itself, and frankly I don’t even care if the thing doesn’t actually fly as long as they can use a crane to drop it in my backyard. I’ll just crank the Tiesto and pretend I can hear those rotors spinning overhead. Top off your cognac, miss?  Ooo look, I think I see Cannes!

I'm fucking gone, man. GONE.

I wonder what it feels like to have a car made just for me.  Not a car that has been “customized to my preferences”, but actually having the folks from AMG and Brabus create a car that was built on my specifications.  Sure, it is based on the AMG SL65 Black Series, but the rest is undisputibly my doing.

That is basically what the Brabus Mercedes SL65 Vanish is.  A custom one-off car built to have 800 hp.  Matte black with a carbon fiber interior (and red stitching to match), this car will definitely live up to its name.

Viewing the inside of the beast. There are remains of small children and animals inside.

Who would have thought I would ever use a Bryan Adams song reference for a boat?

Only the XSR Superboat by XSMG World can inspire me to write such odes of beauty.  For a mere £1.1 million you can own yourself the water-going equivalent of a supercar. 

At over 1600hp, this boat is considered to be the “world’s fastest diesel production boat” and can make jaws drop faster than you can say “what the hell is a superboat and who would pay £1.1 million for one?”

At that point they will be dripping wet from all the water your new XSR48 sprayed on their hating faces.

Ooh, who's been naughty? Yeeeahhh, oh, I mean BMW's 550i GT

The auto industry is giving us more options than ever. From 22″ OEM wheels to self parking cars, electrics and hybrids, there is no shortage of choices. We also have more genres to choose from. The European automakers have combined our big American SUV ideas with their luxury sedans and sprinkled in a bit of Grand Touring to create what may become the most functional and fun group of cars yet.

In 2010, BMW is bringing their BMW 550i GT to market. I’ve seen it, and I’m a fan. It takes our definitions of what transportation should look like and blurs the lines that separate the species. I can load it up with with family and gear and head to the beach just as easily as I can test the autobahn’s speed limit, or lack thereof.
The engine is the same that you will find in the 750, and that is necessarily a good thing. That’s 400 horses to get you to the grocery store and back before that steak burns. The interior is fucntional and spacious, with cargo space up to 60 cubic feet with the seats folded down. How many Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders will fit in that space?

Take a look-see for yourself, and see if it belongs in your garage.

Everyone is saying that this is going to be the fastest Ferrari ever. I'd like to put that to the test.

Let me throw some stats at you:

• A power to weight ratio of 2.23 kg/hp

• Faster than a Ferrari Enzo and a Maserati MC12

Would the first thing you think of be a Ferrari 599?  Probably not.

With Ferrari’s release of their latest incarnation of the 599 – the 599 GTO – the company has definitely released the beast from the gates of hell.

Here’s a little excerpt from Ferrari’s official press release:

ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The 599 GTO’s engine is directly derived from the 599XX unit implementing, however, the necessary modifications for road-going homologation. It thus complies with Euro 5 and LEV 2 standards. The 5999 cc 65-degree V12 engine punches out 670 CV at 8250 rpm with maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm and there is a smooth, constant rush of power all the way to the redline with no loss of flexibility even at medium and low revs. This result was obtained by working on the fluid-dynamics and components to reduce internal friction and by adopting, amongst other things, the 599XX’s redesigned crankshaft. The car also has a racing-type intake system with a new manifold with diffuser-type intake geometry and short inlet tracts designed to improve power delivery at high revs and reduce losses. To maximise volumetric efficiency per cylinder, a connection between the two plenums at the front compensates for variations in the volume. This is how the engineers managed to achieve maximum performance at high engine speeds. The engine sound inside the car is carefully controlled to balance the intake sound with the exhaust, which features a 599XX-derived 6-into-1 manifold.

The 599 GTO features the same, lower 60 ms shift times and the possibility to make multiple downshifts as on the 599XX.

Translation?  This bitch is fast – you’ll be lucky to get coverage on your insurance.

They got the dry weight down to 1495 kg - it looks so cut without all that extra fat.

Interested in picking one up for yourself?  Ferrari is only planning to make 599 of these prancing horses and getting one will cost you about $600,000.
