Not only is Marinke Davelaar beautiful and talented, she also gives some pretty good style advice for our readers.

For today’s installment of YOUR WEEKLY FIX: Style advice from a beautiful woman, we have professional model and photographer Marinke Davelaar from the Netherlands.

Marinke studied architecture in the Netherlands and has always been able to pursue her creative ambitions through her modeling career.

Nowadays, Marinke lives between Amsterdam and New York.  According to her, she feels like she has been finding herself on both sides of the camera as a model and a photographer.

“At the moment I’m totally into street photography and work with a number of famous bloggers on capturing their street style when I’m not the subject in the frame.”

When Marinke isn't the one in front of the camera, she likes to shoot street style for blogs and online magazines.

She’s a strong believer in social media and online magazines becoming the modern vehicle to disseminate the latest in fashion trends.

On our end, we feel very fortunate to feature such a multifaceted individual as our Weekly Fix.

Here’s Marinke’s style advice for our readers:

I love a confident man!

Confidence and a good smile are the main ingredients for an impressive appearance. I’m very much into the European way of styling and love a slim and tapered suit paired with some nice Santoni’s.

According to Marinke, the best thing a man can wear is confidence.

For me a classic – yet casual – look would start with dark jeans or a nice black/dark blue pair of pants. Unless you’re a hipster, please try to keep away from the bleached and light colors!

A high-quality, simple sweater or shirt is very easy to dress up with a good jacket. Keep the body quite basic and add a nice watch, good shoes (could be sneakers even) and a smile and you’re all set.

Make sure to have some great coats for the upcoming cold days. Casual chic is what I would go for – with a thick sweater or a lined leather jacket might even do!

Marinke likes to keep things simple when it comes to men's style.
