For today’s installment of YOUR WEEKLY FIX: Style advice from a beautiful woman, we have singer, songwriter, dancer, actress… and self-proclaimed professional selfie taker Montana Tucker.
Montana was born on January 18, 1993 in Florida and began her career as a model at the age of 8, appearing in national commercials, music videos and TV shows.
At 13, she was featured as a backup dancer for Ashanti and Ashley Simpson.
Later in her career, she appeared with Chris Brown on MTV’s “My Super 18“, where she performed at his birthday party in New York at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club.
Additionally, Montana has won the “World Hip-Hop Championships”, where she competed against dancers from all over the world.
Montana’s career as a recording artist started at the tender age of 14, with her first public performance at the 2007 Super Bowl pre-game.
Since then, she has been the opening act for top artists such as Ciara, Pitbull, Flo Rida and Lil Wayne. Montana has also performed the National Anthem at the Hula Bowl, Miami Heat and Florida Panther games.
Currently, you can hear Montana sing on the international box office blockbuster “Step Up 2 the Streets” soundtrack where her song “Ain’t No Stressin” is featured.
You can also hear another song from Montana called “Candy Swirl” featured in the movie and soundtrack for “Bring It On 5“.
Montana credits a lot of her musical influences to a wide range of artists from Beyonce to J. Lo, just to name a few.
Now at 22 years old, Montana continues to evolve as an all-around entertainer, never settling for less: “I recently just did a song with the amazingly talented DJ/Producer Afrojack and am currently in the studio perfecting my craft.”
Here’s Montana’s style advice for our readers:
I always find you can tell a lot about a man by his style.
You can tell if he takes care of himself, if he’s clean, or if he just doesn’t care at all.
For everyday wear, I typically like when men dress classically – a good pair of fitted jeans, a well fitted shirt and a nice pair of loafers.
To me, less is always more. Don’t get me wrong – I love to see a man dressed up in a suit.
I find it a nice surprise to see a man who cleans up nice and rocks it.
Some additional advice for men: never have your clothes too tight or too loose. For a woman, there is nothing worse than seeing a man have on tighter pants than you do.
I also find it very unattractive when I see a man with his pants sagging to the floor.
Finally, men don’t have to shop at expensive stores to dress nicely – it is all about how you rock it.
Don’t feel you have to shop at the nicest stores to accomplish the style you want and don’t be scared to try new things to explore your own style!
