The question isn’t what did we like about John Wick the movie. It’s more about what didn’t we like?
From the 1969 Ford Mustang which plays an integral part of the plot, to the way the movie was filmed, to the full-on-no-holds-barred action from beginning to end, we can’t stop talking about the movie.
Even 2 weeks after watching it for the first time.
But for today, we’re going to talk about John Wick the man and why we think he’s the perfect ESM Icon:
Most superheroes wear costumes. For John Wick, what he wears to work is a badass three-piece suit with a bulletproof vest underneath.
The folks from TheTake.com did their best research to find the closest matches to the clothes worn by Keanu Reeves in the movie, and we think they nailed it on the head with the Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss ensembles.
Not sure they got the shoes right though.
The chariots chosen by the producers of John Wick did a pretty good job with the 1969 Mustang which set off the chain of events to get the movie going, but the replacement offered to him in the middle of the movie (the all black Dodge Charger) could have been slightly upgraded.
We would have gone with a Dodge Viper ACR. In all black.
John Wick is the man you send in when you want to kill the Boogeyman.
And he makes sure the Boogeyman stays dead with point blank head shots to every single person he wants to kill. Every. Single. One.
So yeah, we thought he would make a pretty good ESM Icon.
