FEATURE: 5 Places to get “money” dress shoes without breaking the bank
I like looking fresh just as much as the next guy, but spending more than $200 for a pair of dress shoes is just too much for me. I’d rather spend the rest of that money on going out.
Don’t get me wrong – I would love to own a pair of Fratelli Rossetti shoes, but unless I win the lottery within the next few months, it’s not going to happen.
So here are some places (and examples of shoes) where you can get yourself some good dress shoes for under $200. And remember, unless you are wearing shoes at a construction site, make sure that they have a sleek silhouette. Feel free to donate those old clunky shoes to the Boys & Girls club near your area.
Zappos.com
As with all online discount stores, if you find something here make sure you get it because they don’t have infinite inventory.
Banana Republic
Banana Republic is great because you can physically try on their shoes at a retail location. If you are “on point” with your shoe game, you can also get their shoes on sale at the end of the season.
Aldo Shoes
Aldo Shoes has a wide variety, so please make sure you are vigilant with your shoe selection. Sometimes their shoes go for as low as $50 when they are on sale.
Zara
You can’t buy their shoes online and typically the stock they carry at their retail outlets is very minimal. If you find a shoe that you like and they just happen to have your size, you should grab that pair right away.
BlueFly.com
Blue Fly is a great place to find designer shoes at a huge discount. Like most online stores, you can’t try the item first and their stock is pretty limited.
