FEATURES: I know it’s wrong, but why do I want a Vertu phone so bad?

So ridiculously wrong. It's just a phone.
So maybe you’ve heard of Vertu, maybe you haven’t. Most likely, you have never seen this phone at your local AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon store.
It’s probably because these phones start at about $4,000. Yes, you heard me right, 4 figures to start. From the Ferrari special edition (above) to the high-end diamond encrusted version, Vertu will satisfy the most discerning mobile phone enthusiasts.
Vertu is a British based subsidiary of the well-known Finnish cell phone manufacturer, Nokia. So yeah, as you keep reading this you are probably thinking, 4 figures for a Nokia? Yes sir.
So how is the reception? I have no idea. Can I get email? Probably not. What about apps? Please, stop making me laugh.
What the Vertu phone lacks in technical wizadry, it makes up for with what they call a ”Vertu Concierge”, a service provided by Ten UK in London, where a group of “lifestyle managers” help you get, well, pretty much anything you want.

The Boucheron 150 cellphone that you see is crafted from a single piece of solid gold and is meant to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Boucheron jewelry house in Paris. Oh, and it comes with a case made out of a solid piece of wood.
