Pininfarina. The car design company other car design companies dream to become someday.

If you’re a car guy, then you are definitely familiar with the auto design company Pininfarina.  They’ve designed a lot of famous cars out there that many have known and loved, such as the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, the Maserati Granturismo and the Ferrari Enzo.

Here’s a little excerpt from their Wiki entry:

Founded as Società anonima Carrozzeria Pinin Farina in 1930 by automobile designer and builder Battista “Pinin” Farina, Pininfarina has been employed by a wide variety of high-end automobile manufacturers, including Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, Jaguar, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, and Lancia. It also has designed trams in France, high-speed trains in Holland, and trolleys in the USA. Since the 1980s Pininfarina has consulted on industrial and interior design.

For 80 years, Pininfarina has been the essence of style for the automotive world.  Is it any wonder we chose them as an ESM Icon?

[Edit: There was no way I was going to let this article go without some classic Pininfarina's. Enjoy!]
