Even though the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon (or Wagen, depending on where you’re from) has been in production since 1979, you’d be hard pressed to find a car person who wouldn’t mind having one in their garage.
Out here in L.A., however, the G can be seen all over the place from Rodeo Drive, to Hollywood, to Calabasas.
For the more discerning owner, options to upgrade your G Wagon come in a plethora of choices from wraps, to wheels, to body kits and would depend primarily on your personal taste and budget.
If it were our money and if we had a pretty high budget, we’d rock the Onyx Concept 2017 Mercedes-Benz G7 body kit (and wheels).
According to Onyx Concept’s official website, the G7 body kit components include:
- ONYX Front Bumper
- ONYX Front DRL’s and Aero Carbon Liners
- ONYX Carbon Front Bumper Aero Shield
- ONYX Vented Rear Bumper
- ONYX Carbon Rear Diffuser
- ONYX Wide Arch Kit
- ONYX Side Door Panel Set
- ONYX Lower Side Skirt
- ONYX Custom Exhaust Tips Dual Side
- ONYX Logo and Letter Plaque Set
- ONYX Front Carbon Grill
- ONYX Front Complete Aero Nose Cone Upgrade
- ONYX Supersport Vented Bonnet
- ONYX Rooftop Spoiler
- ONYX 22” Wheels
- ONYX Front Dual Drl Roof Aero Fin
As you can see from the pictures, the body kit and wheels give the car a much wider and aggressive stance, without making the car look – for the lack of a better word – fucking crazy.
We’ve been looking around for how much a full Onyx Concept body kit with wheels would be, but no one is posting any prices online.
Our guess is you’re going to have to pony up a pretty penny for a fully customized Onyx Concept G-ride.
