GEAR: Flight Plan

Travel seems to be getting more and more complicated these days. There are carry-on restrictions on liquids, lighters, and batteries. We have to pack THIS way, THAT’S too heavy or too big, and pay extra for our checked bags? I just want to get to South Beach already!
Yet amidst all the attempts to make travel more work and less fun, there is a store that is a virtual oasis where fun abounds. I first saw Flight 001 when walking down Greenwich Ave in New York. I think it was the Hideo Wakamatsu luggage that caught my eye. The store is filled with the ‘why didn’t someone come up with this before?’ moments. There are power adapters, pill boxes, and passport holders. I saw travel guides, travel games, and trinkets the likes that I have never seen before. Luggage with names like Mandarina Duck, locks that are TSA approved, and laundry packets for day trips.
If you need help packing, there is almost certainly some kind of assistance available in Flight 001. Not everyone needs a portable mini ping pong set, but for those of us that do, Flight 001 has us covered.
Check them out online at http://www.flight001.com/. Or if there’s a store nearby, drop in and get ready for your next trip.
