FURNITURE ESSENTIALS: Jersey Sheets

So I think it’s time for you to get rid of the sheets that you took with you from your mom’s place.  I’m sure the ladies aren’t feeling the whole “cartoon dinosaur” look.

What do you replace it with?

Although most dudes don’t really care about what goes on their bed, I would suggest putting on the same thing you wear on your body when you want to be comfortable – bedsheets made of jersey cotton (the same material your t-shirt is made of).

So now that you have that “money” bed/mattress, it’s time to add the final touch by throwing these sheets on.

The kicker?  These sheets don’t cost a lot of cheddar – you can get some comfy king size ones at Target.com for about $20.

To create Essential Style for Men, mix 2 parts petrol, 1 part secret agent, 1 part rock and roll, 1 part hip-hop and a shot of tequila in a shaker with ice and vigorously shake for 20 seconds. Pour into a martini glass rimmed with explosives and have a supermodel serve for all your friends to enjoy.

When you first get them, they are so deliciously soft and amazing. The problem is that after a month or two, they can get holey, and unlike that fav tshirt, don't get softer over time. I have been through SO many sets and there is nothing like rolling around in some fresh ones, just be aware when they get rough or holey, it's time to toss em. Maintenance, fellas.

Equally important is thread count. Anything below 300-400 is the equivalent of wearing a dress shirt from Wal-Mart.
