Check out his interview below:
Tell us about yourself and your website AntonioTurino.com. How did you get started as a fashion blogger? What do you think differentiates your blog from all the other blogs out there? Do you blog full-time for a living or do you have another career? Do you work in the fashion industry?
To be honest, everyone who posts online nowadays can be considered a blogger.
Social media outlets are tools many people can use in everyday life and can be useful if used in the right way.
Today, social profiles have become a modern day business card and the only difference between the two is how they are used.
I recently just started my social media accounts with the aim to convey my passion for fashion.
My theme is to revisit classic men’s fashion with my personal taste – in practice, it is the organization of my wardrobe transmitted through photos.
For my career, I am studying law and working in the family business. I don’t work in the fashion industry but someday would like to.
ESM is all about style. If you could describe your personal style in one sentence, what would it be? Also, what inspired you to create your signature look with your hair and mustache (which we think is awesome, btw)?
My style in one sentence – “combining clothing and accessories in a harmonious, complex and interesting way”.
Style is derived through research, where you choose the right clothing for every occasion.
Style is not an innate ability but an art to everyone. For me, my style has developed and refined over time, where my passion and curiosity has led me to know the classics of fashion and fashion’s history.
For my look – it was the result of many hairstyles over the years but I can say it is subjective, dynamic and constantly changing.
My mustache and beard, on the other hand, are an expression of the quirky side of my character.
Do you have brands or designers you favor? What advice do you have for our readers who are developing their own style?
There are many Italian brands I like:
I also like other non-Italian brands, like Levi’s.
For readers who are developing their own style, they have to know it takes time to learn the basics and it takes money to buy garments of high quality.
What is your philosophy on men’s accessories? What are your favorite accessories to wear?
Accessories are very important because the little things make a big difference in complementing the overall picture.
I have many accessories I like to wear, but my favorite one is my brooch stops money which I inherited from my grandfather – for me it’s something magical.
Do you have any style icons? Who are they and why?
I have a lot of style icons, but here is a short list of my favorites:
- Gianni Agnelli – Really admire his style Nicknamed “The Lawyer” for his dedication to family, culture, labor and sport.
- Steve Jobs – An innovator who was sure of his goals and his vision; who changed our lives with his inventions.
- Edward R. “Ed” Murrow – Considered a major figure in the journalism world who was known for his honesty and integrity in reporting the news.
At ESM, we have a list of “Style Essentials” or pieces that every man should have in his wardrobe. Do you have your own list of style essentials? What are they?
A man should always have clothes suitable for every occasion in his wardrobe.
What is your definition of “style”? Is there a difference between “style” vs. “fashion”? If so what differentiates each?
See answer to the question #2 above.
What does the future hold for Antonio Turino?
I don’t know what the future holds, but I can guarantee I will continue to cultivate my passions.
Who knows? Maybe one day I will create something related to these passions.
