STYLE: Lululemon
What the %&$#@!! I know, I know. It’s yoga clothing for women… kinda. And then again, not so much. When Lululemon first opened a few years ago in Los Angeles, I didn’t think too much of it. One day while walking by I poked my head in, and the cute girls strolling around inside made me go a bit further.
While my eyes were caught by these little zen girls looking outstanding in their Lululemon pants, my periphery caught men’s clothing. Me being the tactile man that I am, I was impressed by how good the material felt. Then the styling. The pants, warm-ups, and jackets were all relatively simple, but with good enough lines to be wearable outside of the gym. The sweats are soft, with some well thought out features like extra pockets and cool design details like contrasting seam colors.
When we go to the gym, or go running, or pretend like we are going running so that we can watch the women run by, we have to wear clothes. Unless you want to get booked for exposing yourself… damn you LAPD! Why not wear something that looks good, functions well, and feeeeeels good?
With Lululemon gear, you can have it all, and one of the perks is that the stores are populated with some attractive, flexible women. Throw away that 7 year old t-shirt with the ketchup stain and go get some styley workout gear.
