We’ve always thought Oris timepieces were a solid value for the money.
Although Oris isn’t as well known to non-horology fans, most people in the know have seen some pieces from the brand they wouldn’t mind flossing to work on Monday morning.
More recently, we ran across an Instagram post and a blog post from the folks from ABlogtoWatch.com, featuring the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer.
Personally, I’m a big fan of “pilot” watches because:
- The layout is usually super clean (for pilots to see the time right away)
- The design is something you can wear for 40 years without it looking out of style, and
- Pilot watches usually have multiple time zones (because I like to travel a lot).
What’s even better with the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimer is you can choose between two faces (black or grey) and you can choose between several straps (leather, stainless and textile).
If I had the $3,600 to $3,850 to spend I would rock either the textile strap (which only comes with the black face) or the dark brown crocodile strap with a grey face.
Regardless of what color combo you go with, once you have this bad boy on your wrist, it would be perfectly fine to answer any question with, “That’s right Ice. I AM DANGEROUS.”
