“Can the imaginary training of fifteen years be put to use? Yes, it can.”
How do you think you would react to being abducted and locked away for 15 years? Never seeing your captors, and never knowing the reason why?
Korean director Park Chan-wook takes us to the depths of madness in his movie Old Boy. The lead role of Oh Dae-su is played flawlessly by actor Choi Min-sik. We follow him as he slowly loses himself and embraces the inner psychotic that must find the truth about his imprisonment. It is an action/drama/suspense/thriller of the highest caliber.
This movie is not for the faint of heart. It is sick and twisted and will penetrate your mindspace for days. I highly recommend it.
