People that have seen this TV show on USA Network totally understand my love for Burn Notice. It’s 2 parts James Bond, 1 part Miami, throw in a sprinkle of humor, mix in a few explosions and garnish with beautiful girls and nice cars.
Here are some more reasons that you probably didn’t think about (photos taken from the official Burn Notice website):
The guy from Army of Darkness is his sidekick.
Yep, the smartass guy from The Army of Darkness who fought all of the evil dead is resurrected in this series as an ex-marine who is the main character’s go-to guy when he needs something.
The girl who danced with Al Pacino in “Scent of a Woman” is an ex-irish liberation army rebel/undercover operative who likes to blow things up with C4.
She is in fantastic shape and a little crazy. I think as the show progresses, she doesn’t seem to be trying too hard to be crazy and it’s becoming more and more natural.
The main character’s mom smokes in every episode.
In a generation that is trying to get more and more PC, having a mother that smokes in each and every episode is pretty cool.
The main character always wears the coolest Oliver Peoples sunglasses.
I think the most amazing part of it all is that he never loses them in every episode.
They always teach you why and how you do things in the spy world.
I always need answers to life’s most difficult questions, like:
- How do I make my car bullet proof simply by using a phone book?
- How do I interrogate prisoners to get the answers I am looking for?
- How do you deal with bullet proof cars?
- How do you create a shape charge to enter a safehouse?
