I love it when race organizers decide that car manufacturers have to create road going versions of their race cars. I love it even more when the road going version of the race car is basically the race car with a new paint job.
Enter the Maserati MC12.
Produced in 2004 and 2005 for Maserati to enter into the FIA GT Championship, these beasts were built on the Ferrari Enzo platform and represented Maserati’s return to racing after a 37 year hiatus. And yeah, you can say they were pretty fast.
For more information, you can check out the MC12’s wiki here. For those interested in acquiring one, set aside about $1.2 million dollars and try not to run someone over when you are backing up.
