I finally got a chance to make it to the 2009 L.A. Auto Show this year.  I try to make the show every year to see what new things are out there, especially with the exotics and the aftermarket parts.

Most notable was the absence of Ferrari and Lamborghini this year.  I wonder if they felt they needed to save some money during the recession?  Whatever the case, I was definitely disappointed not seeing the new 458 Italia up close and personal.

Without further ado, here are some highlights of the show.  Again, I apologize for the photos since they were taken with a regular point and shoot.

Most Surprising Highlight

The Monster Chicken Nachos. I shouldn't have ordered the burger and the nachos at the same time.

The Belle of the Ball

The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder. The prettiest thing in there.

The side view. To bad they don't come with stereos.

The Instant Classic

The Gullwing AMG SLS. Stood at this display for 20 minutes.

To create Essential Style for Men, mix 2 parts petrol, 1 part secret agent, 1 part rock and roll, 1 part hip-hop and a shot of tequila in a shaker with ice and vigorously shake for 20 seconds. Pour into a martini glass rimmed with explosives and have a supermodel serve for all your friends to enjoy.
