After part 1 and part 2 of this series, I have realized the following things:

  • It’s easy to spend money
  • I like to party
  • I will probably have to restrategize the trip if I want it to last longer

Originally, I was hoping for a full tour of Spain, Italy, the Greek Isles, Africa and Asia.  Based on the money that is leftover, there is no way all of that is going to happen. Nevertheless, we’ll figure out how to make it work and have enough money to get back home.

But I digress.

Stop 4: F1 Racing in Monaco (May 14-16), Grand Total: $48,306.22

F1 Racing in Monaco.

I think the silver lining in this part of the trip is that the F1 racing timeline coincidentally overlaps with the Cannes Film Festival.  Lucky for us, we’ve got a yacht for 2 weeks and Monaco isn’t too far from Cannes.  We’ll just cruise over for the race days.

Party.

This is all we will need to pay for (some of the expenses should be covered with the finances from the Cannes budget):

  • Tickets for F1 racing for Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16: $32,306.22 (6 2-day passes to the Formula 1 Paddock Club, $5,384.37 each ticket)
  • 3 Tuxedos, 3 cocktail gowns shoes and accessories for a night on the town:  $15,000 estimated
  • Spending cash, gambling money and food for each person: Covered by Cannes budget

So now, we’ve got about $680,201.42.  We better make it good.
