The Alfresco outoor furniture collection from crateandbarrel.com.

I love all of the furniture that comes out of Crate and Barrel.  They’re well made and not too over-the-top in terms of pricing.   Even if you were colorblind and had no design sense whatsoever you could probably just close your eyes, pick furniture and everything would work out.

In fact, people would probably think you were genius.

Every once in a while there are pieces that I feel are well worth the fanfare, such as the “Alfresco” collection.  I’m not going to lie – one of the biggest reasons I love this collection is because it is very similar to the “Deneb Collection” from Design Within Reach (at a more affordable price).

If I was fortunate enough to live in a home with enough room on the patio to warrant patio furniture, I would go with the orange fabric for the seat covers and the umbrella.  I think that color looks great on top of the wood.

And you thought “alfresco” dining meant dining in your birthday suit.  Shame on you.
